Use of Photos

Submission of Photographs to the Crazy Quilt Journal Project by a Participant acknowledges that the photograph can be used for publication as part of the Crazy Quilt Journal Project Challenge endeavors.

The Project will occur annually. Photographs submitted each year may be used for historical archives as well as for the year of the actual submission.

Submission of images is grant approval to CQJP Chairperson and/or Founder to post the image as part of the annual challenge, historical challenge, or challenge promotional endeavors and CQJP is released from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form that may occur or be produced in the use of said image. CQJP will not attempt to alter the resolution, clarity, or correct any perceived error within the photographs with the exception of cropping the photographs to fit the size and intent of the challenge.

When a Participant submits a photograph for use by CQJP they must do so by emailing that photograph to the chairperson and/or founder of CQJP as specified in that annual rule requirements. Submission of images by email in this manner constitutes the Participant’s permission for use of the image (photography of property) for sharing by CQJP.

All Participants remain the owner of their own original images.

Participants are also responsible to submit images of only their own individual Crazy Quilt Journal Project works. The CQJP trusts that images submitted are the participant's individual work and that these images do not infringe upon the copyright of other artist’s images. The CQJP will not assume liability for use of images that might be proven to have been submitted by a participant as their own work, but is not. The CQJP accepts images on good faith that the Participants are submitting images of their own work.

  2. I generally watermark all my photos with the name of my website. Would that be an issue? Thanks!
